chiropractic treatments

Chiropractic Treatments Chiropractic treatments specifically target and try to treat problems with the spine and nervous system. Although evidence of chiropractic treatments exists showing that the rudimentary techniques have been used as early as ancient Egypt, the actual formal practice of chiropractic treatments didn't begin until 1895. Chiropractic treatments have long been at odds with other branches of the medical profession. Chiropractic treatments have only recently become widely recognized as legitimate medical procedures, although there are still minor skirmishes with the AMA. Chiropractic treatments are usually known as adjustments, and involve careful manipulation of the spine to relieve pain and improve the function of the nervous system. Today hundreds of thousands of people seek chiropractic treatment in over one hundred countries. Chiropractic treatments are based on the idea that any misalignment of the spinal cord can cause problems with the nervous system, which in turn can cause pain or diminished physical capacity. Many time chiropractic treatments are performed following an accident or some other type of traumatic injury that has caused damage to the spinal cord. Chiropractic treatments are particularly helpful in cases of whiplash, sciatica, spinal disc misalignment, and other incidental injuries. Chiropractic treatments can be effective in alleviating pain from tension headaches, lower back pain, and other types of pain. Generally chiropractors are not permitted to write medical prescriptions or perform other types of medical procedures other than chiropractic treatments.

Neck Pain Neck pain can be a frustrating and even incapacitating ailment. One of the most common neck pain complaints is whiplash, which is frequently caused by rear end car collisions or other trauma. Neck pain in the form of whiplash is usually not a permanent or even severe condition. Neck pain can be caused by many different factors. Sometimes neck pain can be the result of stress headaches, which cause the muscles or tendons in the neck to tighten painfully. Sometimes neck pain can be caused by accident or injury, such as in the case of whiplash. Many different techniques and therapies, such as massage therapy, or light therapy can be used to combat minor forms of neck pain.
